Soap Savvy Holiday Magic
Christmas wouldn’t be the same without the classic Christmas shows and specials that TV stations play every night this time of year. In fact, certain shows and movies are a “must see” every year at our house. While I was watching one of my favorite TV movies, I started to think about how bath products can make a difference in your state of mind. If you’re stressed, a nice warm bath or shower can ease your anxiety.
If you’re nervous about attending an event, a favorite product can give you a bit of confidence walking into the room. When you can’t sleep, the right combination of bath and skin care products can lure the sandman faster than anything else on the planet.
So, what if some of our most beloved but less than positive Christmas characters had been fortunate enough to have access to a soap product like the embossed goat’s milk soap, or the personalized custom soap sizes? Maybe Scrooge would have been a bit more generous had he started his day with a custom large square soap with his photo in it, or a small embossed round with the dollar sign embossed on it? I’m sure he would have been happy to share them with the Ghost of Christmas Past, Present and Future. Perhaps the Grinch would have been in better spirits if he took a nice warm shower with a heart shaped photo of his little dog or one of Cindy Lou Who before going to bed. And maybe all the other reindeer would have been quicker to let Rudolph play in their reindeer games if they had been given an embossed round with their own monogrammed initials in it?

I have a secret. A very dear friend of mine is planning to announce her engagement during her family’s Christmas dinner. While Christmas is always a special time at their house, this wonderful news will make this year even more special. I was delighted when she asked me about ideas to help commemorate their announcement.
There are many ways to add an extra flair to mark an occasion or an event. That’s what our products are all about. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. That’s the song running through my mind these days. It seems that everyone is getting into the spirit of the holiday season. Everyone on my street has been busy decorating the outside of their homes. Since it’s usually dark when I arrive home, I’ve been greeted lately by twinkling lights among green wreaths, red bows and rows of lit candy canes. Even a couple of reindeer occupy spaces on the front lawns of neighbours and friends this year. It is a reminder that the holiday season is here and the days left to get everything done is numbered.

Tuesday, December 6th, 2011 You’ve got mail! Christmas cards are one of my favorite things about the holidays. I love receiving greeting cards in the mail and get especially excited when I get 2 or 3 cards on the same day. My family live miles away so there are usually cards from my many cherished Aunts and Uncles. I read each card carefully and then, display them together on the fire place mantle and on a special lamp table that I leave undecorated in anticipation that it will hold beautiful cards. For the past couple of years, I have been designing and mailing handmade cards to family and friends. At first, I wasn’t sure how they would be received because everyone is into social media exchanges. Surprisingly, I’ve found that most people really appreciate receiving a card in the mail. The handmade cards have been especially well received. The art of creating, signing the cards, addressing each envelope and going to mail the cards is usually my first act of the holiday season. Friday, December 2nd 2011 I’m dreaming of a pink Christmas? That’s right. You read the title correctly. No, I haven’t lost my mind....yet.
While others are going green, I’ve decided to go pink this holiday season. I couldn’t help but notice this small artificial pink tree at the mall after Christmas last year. Overlooked by other shoppers, something about its tiny branches turned and twisted in different directions, caught my eye.
I noticed the tree had a set of tiny artificial lights strewn about its branches. I didn’t expect the lights to work but was pleasantly surprised when the lights offered rays of vibrant pink, a real breath of fresh air from the traditional holiday colors. I was hooked.
I was surprised by how many other items I already had to match the little pink tree. It’s amazing how many Christmas decorations you accumulate through the years. I like to be different and this certainly fits the bill. It wasn’t long before I put together a one of a kind color scheme that has raised eyebrows and shaken heads followed by comments, “This I’ve got to see. Who puts up a pink tree?”
That’s one of the many great things I love about iCandy Soaps. Our products are different from many of the products available on the market today. Wednesday, November 30th, 2011 A Week of Mondays!
I’ve been going non-stop since Monday which is usually my busiest day of the week. I’ve been so busy this week that it is starting to feel like a week of five Mondays all in a row. We all have weeks like this. Not enough hours in the day or energy left in the body to get everything done on our to-do list.
I’ve always been a fan of our goat milk products but never have I experienced the benefits of it like I have this week. Not only has it helped me to relax and rejuvenate but my skin feels amazing. I’ve been having problems with dry patches on my left elbow and our goat milk soap, over time, has helped that immensely. There’s nothing better than finding a skincare product that can stand the test of time. I’m a firm believer that when you find one that is above the rest that it is important to tell others about it. I’ve also decided that all new employees should receive a sample package and be encouraged to try the product and share it with their friends and family. That should keep Mondays, and especially a week of Mondays, in check once and for all.

It is one day before the weekend officially begins, and I hope everyone has plans to enjoy the last embers of sunshine before the Fall season really starts to set in. This is a great time of year in Canada, with tempuratures becoming more comfortable and less humid - much easier to sleep at night. As for us here at iCandy Soaps, this weekend we will be working hard on customized soaps for wedding events, conferences and hotel clients. Our Hotel, Inn and B&B clients are an interesting bunch, since they usually require very large amounts of soap product at a time, which is something our production team welcomes with open arms - they do love to work! But the one thing these clients overwhelmingly expect from our company is five star quality, and we are always more than happy to deliver a top notch product, through and through. Goat's Milk has always been referred to as a luxury soap, and for that reason it has become the perfect fit for any establishment that desires to offer the best to their guests, from the smallest Chalet to the largest Luxury Hotel Chain.

Not sure if we will see the sun today, though it is certainly humid outdoors. That's ok though, because our production team is quite busy keeping up with all the recent orders for the small embossed round soaps we've received. They are proving to be our most popular item. So far, the embossed anchor design tops the list as the favorite choice of our customers. We do get alot of requests for the fleur de lis design, the butterfly design and several of the flower designs as well. All of the soap designs shown on our website, at one point or another, have been requested by our customers. We love finding the perfect design fit for any project that comes along. We are always amazed at the creative spirit of our customers. In fact, one creative customer put together multiple baskets containing embossed iCandy Soaps and gave them out to her clients as thank you gifts, which went over very well and looked simply amazing! She placed 10 embossed soaps in each of the baskets and wrapped them elegantly in clear cellophane. She did a beautiful job, and her creative spirit has been an inspiration to other customers who ask us for ideas for special events.
